Occupy Boston: By Peter Leavitt
Documentary photography isn't really my thing, but I couldn't resist
taking my Nikon down to join up and make some noise about some of the
things that have been going wrong. So here are a few scenes from October
2011. Hopefully you find them more beautiful than political or
documentary.

i'm attracted to the second picture, but i think it's the man i'm attracted to. In general i'm interested to know more about the choice of the heavy cyan/green... i like it, but it's lack of consistancy is a little confusing, clear sky then the claustrophobic selective focus shows the chaos and moment well... the last image does not share the same colour handling but feels like maybe it should? love the shapes being made in the final imag. The second to last image really makes me feel the mass of people, swarming and claustrophobic (i don't like being in large groups of people- which is why i might be reading this this way- but the colour and focus also lead me to feel... the tightness, and the crowd is in darkness, and the geometry of the buildings cutting in, the scale is somehow unsettling - in a successful way... yes. i like this picture it makes me feel panic/vertigo-y looking at it.
